Nick's recent credits as executive producer at Lion include: Britain From Above a major multi-platform project for the BBC presented by Andrew Marr. Britain from Above included content across a range of BBC platforms including 3 x 60 for BBC1, 3 x 30 for BBC2, 1 x 60 for BBC4 and a groundbreaking website for which it won the 2009 Best Digital Programme Emmy Award.
Nick has also been executive producer of Guarding the Queen and Summer of Noise for ITV, Dispatches for C4, Emmy award winning Cash Cab for Discovery, History Detectives which is in its eighth season on PBS, The Queens Cavalry an eight part documentary series about the household cavalry for BBC1 and Boston Law a ten part BBC/WGBH/BBC (8 x 30 BBc1/WGBH), Great Undertakings an acclaimed 6 x 30 documentary series for C4, Kumbh Mela an RTS award winning 20 x 10 daily programme from India, Castle a 6 x 30 history series presented by Marc Morris, The Maze a 75 minute documentary about the infamous prison for C4/WGBH/RTE, Fashion House a 6 week reality series set in Rome for C4/TV3/Sky Italia, four series of Trial By Jury a 3 x 60 factual based courtroom drama for BBC2, Beat The Bailiff and Beat the Burglar both factual entertainment formats for BBC Daytime and a range of factual programmes for Five including LAX an eight part doc-soap about Los Angeles airport for Five/A&E, Hitler's Britain and The Real CSI, 20 part reality-quiz The Box for TV3 Ireland.
In addition Nick has been responsible for a wide variety of US/UK co-productions such as Chicago Children's Hospital for PBS/UK Horizons, Worldwide co-production, Legal Action for TLC, Coroners for MSNBC, Death Scene Investigators for MSNBC/Five, Class of '75 for Discovery Health; as well as numerous one-off films such as the award winning Taxi Dreams for PBS/BBC, Lawrence of Arabia - 2 hours for PBS/BBC2, Journey Through the Valley of The Kings for TLC/C4.
As President of Lion Inc Nick takes overall responsibility for the company's US-based productions. These include programmes made in the New York office such as Cash Cab and It Takes A Thief for Discovery, History Detectives for PBS, Wa$ted for Planet Green. Lion Inc is also currently producing pilots of entertainment formats for both Fox and MTV.
Before becoming one of the founders of Lion Television, Nick was at the BBC which he joined as a graduate trainee.
While at the BBC he worked on a range of current affairs and investigative programmes as a producer and director.
He was the series producer of The Trial for BBC2 the first time television cameras had been allowed inside British courtrooms.
He also created Airport for BBC1 which has gone on to be the longest running doc-soap on British television.
Nick also produced and directed single documentaries for BBC1's Inside Story strand and also for BBC2's 40 Minutes.
