A group of eligible guys and our beautiful single girl Cara travel to sunny Spain to compete in new E4 Dating show Dream Date. Or so they think…
Soon after arriving, host Jameela Jamil reveals to them that they are, in fact, taking part in a new series of Playing It Straight.
Cara is here to try and to find herself a new man, but she now finds that whilst some of the boys most certainly are straight, and are here to find themselves a girl, some of them are merely Playing It Straight. But can she tell who?
In fact, in what is an age of Metrosexuality – can we?
In each of the 8 shows the boys will compete in a number of comedy tasks and challenges, culminating in Cara eliminating one or more of them from the competition – but will she have chosen correctly?
If, at the end of it all, she picks herself a straight guy - the two of them will split the £50,000 prize money.
However, if she picks a guy who’s been Playing It Straight all along, he will walk away with the lot.
The hit show returns with new characters, new twists and challenges, and even new Troubadours making a song and dance of what’s going on, with narration by Alan Carr.
Executive Producer Simon Welton:

The ever evolving stereotypes surrounded by people’s sexuality will be tested to the extreme in this challenging and intriguing reality-based game show.
