The Mafia's Secret Bunkers

This film gives us unique access to the extraordinary bunkers which the 'Ndrangheta' Mafia use for hiding out and to the hi-tech war fought by Italian authorities against this criminal brotherhood.

From the poorest region in Southern Italy, a little known criminal syndicate has grown to become Europe's most dangerous Mafia organisation, the 'Ndrangheta of Calabria. Under the villages of southern Italy are jaw-dropping networks of secret bunkers and ingenious hide-outs.  World Mafia expert John Dickie shadows the Italian police and special forces as they search for the bosses in their bunkers, and visits the ostracised victims who dared to take a stand against the Mafia.

Reviews

This fantastically intriguing documentary took us inside the shadowy world of the ’Ndrangheta, the crime group that controls Calabria, which nestles in Italy’s “toe”.
