CELEBRITIES JOIN MARY BEARD IN SHORT FILMS TO INSPIRE CHILDREN TO STUDY CLASSICS

Celebrities Rachel Weisz, Rosie Jones, Alex Horne and Malorie Blackman have joined world-renowned classicist Prof Dame Mary Beard in a series of films to introduceClassics and its relevance in society today to a young audience. 

The team at Lion has worked with Mary and Cambridge University to producea series of short fun and engaging films aimed at broadening access to the Classics by making the subject accessible to all children, including those with no previous experience of it.  The films tackle timely and relevant subjects – Democracy and Free Speech, our need for Heroes, the point of Drama and our self-image.
