Horrible Science

Horrible Science

Horrible Science is one of Lion TV’s exciting new children’s productions, bringing comedy, character and chaotic experimentation together to make science genuinely unforgettable. The first series, made up of 15 energetic episodes, takes young viewers on a journey through the weirdest corners of the scientific world, from outer space to the human body, using sketches, demonstrations and storytelling to ignite curiosity and laughter in equal measure.

Since launching the series, we’re proud to see Horrible Science expand into a wider educational and entertainment brand. Our collaboration with the Science Museum Group has led to Horrible Science: Cosmic Chaos, a major national exhibition opening in 2026. The brand has also reached new audiences through interactive games created with BBC Bitesize, further extending its playful approach to learning.

Horrible Science has received industry recognition, including nominations for Best Children’s Programme at the Broadcast Awards and Best New Series at the Kidscreen Awards, a huge testament to the creativity and hard work of the entire team.

With Season 2 already underway, we’re thrilled to continue growing the Horrible Science universe and bringing more explosive ideas, curious characters and wonderfully messy science to screens and beyond.
